A Thought on Death

So, currently, I sit in hospital awaiting major surgery. I am constantly amazed at the amount of people, mostly health care professionals, who think I have a screw loose. You see, I do not see death as the worst thing that could happen. In fact, I am excited at the next great adventure.

Here’s the deal. In modern society it is seen as “crazy” for someone not to be scared of dying. In fact, it is simply assumed that someone is “self-destructive” if they are fatalistic about death.

So, here’s the thing and pay attention folks because this is a biggie!

Not one person alive today will live forever: Death visits us all!!!!

My position therefore, simply this; anyone who has a problem with the thought of death should develop a healthy relationship with the cycle of life. Birth and Death are twins the of our existence. Whilst we should care for those who, through genuine mental health issues are suicidal, we should not project our own unreasonable fears upon other members of society who do have that healthy relationship with the Grim Reaper.

If you think I am whacked, or in need of help, then please proceed to your nearest mirror and look deeply into the eyes of the person you find there. That is where you will find the real problem.
